How Is Your Relationship with Food?
I teach people how to have a better relationship with food by developing a better relationship with themselves. The power we give food is remarkable. Our negative self talk clouds our brains, and it can take over our lives. It's time to take back your power; the time is now. Not tomorrow, or Monday, or after that birthday party. The empty promises that we make to ourselves are just that...empty.
Food doesn't force itself into our mouths. Food is neither "good'' nor "bad." We are not "good' or "bad'' for eating certain things. Food is not made to fill a void. It's not created to make us feel bad about ourselves. Yes, we are meant to nourish ourselves. For our health, our bodies need certain things that we can only get through our foods.
When you start loving yourself and taking back your power, just like that, you make better decisions for yourself because you love how certain foods make you feel. The cravings diminish, the binging becomes non-existent. You don't feel deprived; you feel in control.
We hire a trainer to teach us how to workout. We hire a nutritionist to learn about food. Who are we hiring for our mental health? Health starts with your mind.
