Summertime Tips
Summertime is a busy time of year. Between vacations and festivities, it can be challenging to stay on track. My intention is to have you enjoy your summer while being mindful about your health. I want you to feel your best all year round. Below are some helpful tips on ways you can enjoy barbeques and brews without damaging your health.
1. Increase water intake. Try to drink a minimum of half your body weight in ounces.
-
2. See how you feel eating within an 8-10 hour window, instead of eating from the time you wake up until the time you go to bed. This will help rejuvenate your cells and give your body a rest.
-
3. Complete a circuit workout with high reps before an event. This will get the blood flow pumping in all different directions. High volume will get you’re your heart rate up and burn extra calories.
-
4. Increase good quality fats and get a wide variety of quality, saturated, monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated. This will aid in satiety, help your hormones stay balanced, and mental clarity.
-
5. Always take a healthy dish to events. Not only is it kind of you, but it also guarantees you one healthy meal.
-
6. Get your rest. Make sure you have a good bedtime routine set in place so that you can have a great sleep.
-
7. Eat until you’re full not stuffed. It takes about 30-minutes for your stomach to get the signal to your brain that you are full. Be sure to keep that in mind, especially when eating out.
-
8. Take advantage of the outside weather, try something new like swimming, hiking or biking.
-
9. Supplement Correctly.

10. Sit in a sauna or infrared sauna at least once a week. It will aid in detoxification. Sweating is good!
