Obligations Will Drown You
Do you ever feel yourself being stretched very thin? Almost as if there is not enough time in the day and you’re being pulled in a million directions? If so, I am going through something similar right now. It is so easy for me to remind my clients how important it is to make time for themselves, yet I have a hard time holding myself to the same standards.

In general, I think woman tend to take care of everyone around them; it’s in our nature. I recently started getting stress headaches, mind you I have never gotten headaches in my life. After discussing this with my husband, I realized that lately, I feel like my creativity is dwindling and I have been losing myself. This is due to the lack of some quality alone time. I give so much energy to people and I recharge that energy by being alone and at rest.

A significant key to health is self-care, and I have unintentionally put my own needs on the back burner. As my business keeps growing, the busier I get. This is what I have been working towards my whole life. But that makes it even more important to take time for myself so that I can be present for others.

So if you’re reading this and it resonates, stop everything you’re doing for a second and just take a deep breathe. Grab some paper and a pencil and create a plan. Delegate things and don’t feel guilty for saying “NO.”
