The Hightlight Reel

Just like everyone else on this planet, I have bad days, bad weeks, and sometimes cloudy months. I’m not put on this earth to teach people how to be motivated and have positive thoughts 24/7. I’m here to tell you that wherever you are in life, I’ve probably been there once or twice myself and I am here for you.

I stuttered as a child.

I started trying to lose weight at 12 years old.
~
Growing up, all I wanted to do was fit in; now, I try to fit out.
~
I’m an introvert; I get my rest from being alone.
~
I hate being in large crowds.
~
I found fast food when I was 18, and that’s when I reached my heaviest weight of 175.
~
I go to therapy.
~
I suffered from disordered eating the majority of my life.
~
The act of smoking a cigar with a beautiful glass of Woodford Reserve brings me joy.
~
My real hair color is brown.
~
I hate when people get applauded for things that they’re supposed to do.
~
I’ve learned more from the 150 books that are in my library that I ever learned in school.
~
So the next time you catch yourself scrolling through social media and getting down on yourself, know that some folks are only showing the world the best version of themselves. I’m a firm believer of unfollowing anyone that you tend to compare yourself too. Why set yourself up for mental negativity?
