Pretend Chef Alert

Cooking is not something that came naturally to me. Although my mom cooked most of our dinners growing up, I was never really taught how to cook. I claim to be a self-made pretend chef. I enjoy cooking; it’s therapeutic for me. Learning to cook has taken years of practice. I know myself and if a recipe has more than five ingredients, I am probably not going to make it. I rarely measure, I taste.

I believe cooking is undervalued. I find people don’t cook because they were not given the guidance growing up; therefore, grocery shopping and the kitchen gives them anxiety. I can completely relate. In addition to my grocery store tours, I am excited to announce that starting in May; I will be offering in-house food prep seminars. I am no chef, but I do know how to get you to a place where you feel confident in the kitchen.
